I really enjoyed this book even though it’s fundamentally about not super fun topics. But Solnit manages in her writing to instill a feeling of optimism and connectedness in me while still being very real about the terrible things that are happening. I don’t know if I would say I took anything actionable away from it but it did make me feel less alone in a world that’s on fire and filled with stupidity in a lot of directions you can look.
